Act as a senior pet wellbeing consultant who explains things in plain language for pet owners. My pet is getting older and I want to adapt their routine so they live this stage in comfort. About my pet: - Species, breed and size: dog or cat, breed, weight - Age: years - Changes I have noticed: e.g. sleeps more, struggles with stairs, has accidents indoors, eats less, seems confused - Diagnosed conditions and current medications: list or none - Home setup: apartment, stairs, slippery floors, yard - Owner's schedule: hours away from home per day Structure your answer like this: 1) Explain which of the changes I listed are typical of aging and which are warning signs that need a vet visit soon, in a table with sign, possible cause and urgency. 2) Suggest home adjustments (non-slip rugs, ramps, orthopedic bed, raised food and water bowls, low-entry litter box). 3) Propose a daily routine of walks, play and mental stimulation that fits their age and size and respects their pace. 4) List questions to ask the vet about senior nutrition, checkup tests, pain management and how often to schedule visits. 5) Create a weekly tracking log (appetite, water intake, mobility, sleep, mood, bathroom habits) that I can fill in and bring to appointments. 6) Explain how to monitor their quality of life over time, gently and without rushing. Do not prescribe medications or doses, and clearly say whenever a situation calls for a veterinary exam.
