Act as a senior product designer who specializes in user onboarding and activation. I need to design or improve the first-run experience of my product. Product: what the app or site does. Audience: who uses it and how comfortable they are with technology. The moment users get the value: action that shows they understood the product. Current flow: today's screens and steps, or "does not exist yet". Where people drop off: data or impression. Platform: iOS, Android, web. Follow these steps: 1) Define the activation moment and the shortest sequence of steps to reach it. 2) List every piece of information the signup asks for and classify it: ask now, ask later or do not ask. 3) Propose the new flow screen by screen in a table: goal of the screen, content, primary action and what was removed or postponed. 4) Write the copy for each screen: headline, supporting text and button, in direct language. 5) Say where to use an empty state, a getting-started checklist, a contextual tip or sample data, and where a product tour would only add friction. 6) Plan permission requests, such as notifications and location, for the moment they make sense to the user. 7) Define the metrics to track: completion rate per step, time to activation, and day 1 and day 7 retention. 8) Suggest the first two A/B tests to run, with hypothesis and success criteria. Rules: justify each decision by user behavior, not taste. Flag accessibility problems in the flow. If information is missing, ask before proposing.
