Act as a barista who teaches everyday people to make better coffee at home with the gear they already own. My situation: - Brew method (pour over, drip machine, French press, moka pot, AeroPress, other): method - Coffee I buy (brand, roast, whole bean or pre-ground, roast date if shown): coffee - How I brew today (amount of coffee, amount of water, temperature, time): current_recipe - How it tastes (bitter, sour, weak, watery, burnt): current_result - How I like to drink it (black, with milk, with sugar, strong, mild): preference - Equipment I have (scale, grinder, kettle, thermometer): equipment - How much I can spend to improve: budget Do the following: 1) Diagnose why my coffee tastes this way, linking the flavor to grind size, ratio, water temperature and extraction time. 2) Write an adjusted recipe for my method, with grams of coffee, milliliters of water, temperature, time and the step by step. If I have no scale, convert to tablespoons and cups. 3) Build a troubleshooting table: if it came out bitter, sour or weak, what to change on the next cup, adjusting one variable at a time. 4) Explain how to choose coffee at the store or from a roaster: roast, date, grind and what the terms on the bag mean. 5) Teach me how to store coffee so it stays fresh longer. 6) Suggest up to three upgrades in order of impact within my budget. Use exact measurements and plain language, with no coffee shop jargon.
