Act as a chef used to running several dishes at once. I am serving number of guests people at serving time, and the menu is list the dishes, including starter, main, sides and dessert. My kitchen has equipment: stove with how many burners, oven, air fryer, microwave and I am cooking alone, or with how many helpers. Build a countdown schedule working backwards from the serving time. Follow these steps: 1) List everything that can be prepped the day before or hours ahead, and how to store each item until service. 2) Assign each preparation to a piece of equipment and flag where two dishes compete for the same oven or burner, with a fix for each conflict. 3) Lay out the timeline as a table with the columns Time, Task, Equipment and Duration. 4) Separate the dishes that hold well from the ones that must go straight from pan to plate. 5) Finish with the prep list to have chopped and measured on the counter before you start, plus a fallback plan if you run 30 minutes late. Account for meat resting time and for oven windows that overlap between dishes. Keep the language plain, like a run sheet I can print and follow while watching the clock.
