Act as a food photographer who works with small restaurants using only a smartphone. I want photos of my dishes that make people hungry and sell more on my menu and on delivery apps. Information: - Type of business: restaurant, diner, bakery, meal prep - Dishes I'll shoot: list - My phone: model - Where I'll shoot: kitchen, dining room, near a window, available time of day - Props I have: plates, boards, napkins, backgrounds - Where the photos will appear: Uber Eats, DoorDash, printed menu, Instagram, website Deliver: 1) A home studio setup: where to place natural light, how to bounce shadows with white paper or foam board, and what to avoid (yellow light, flash, harsh shadows). 2) For each dish on my list, the best angle (overhead, 45 degrees or straight on), the framing and one finishing touch that makes it look better (shine, steam, a cut showing the filling). 3) Phone settings: focus, exposure, portrait mode or not, and why to skip digital zoom. 4) The format and aspect ratio each platform I mentioned requires. 5) Quick in-phone editing, with adjustments in the right order and the limit that keeps the food looking real. 6) A 10-item checklist to run through before every shot. Be practical and direct, keeping in mind someone with little time between orders.
